In 2022 the National Institutes of Health (NIH), through the Helping to End Addiction Long-term (HEAL) Initiative, launched the Research on Interventions for Stability and Engagement (RISE) Network. The network consists of ten research projects and a coordination center dedicated to understanding the effectiveness and implementation of community-based programs and services for people who use drugs.
